Is Warhawk PSIRA registered?

Yes. Warhawk Security is PSIRA-registered and every deployed officer is individually registered and graded for the role they perform. We can supply PSIRA numbers on request.

Do you provide armed reaction?

Armed reaction and alarm monitoring are provided through accredited third-party partners, coordinated by our on-site officers. Warhawk's own focus is specialist guarding — armed and unarmed officers, patrols and site management — so you get a single accountable partner without in-house reaction overheads.

What kind of guarding do you provide?

Terms depend on the service. We aim for clear, plain-English contracts with transparent notice periods. Ask during the quote — we will spell it out before you sign.

How much do security guards cost in South Africa?

Cost is driven by four things: the number of officers, hours of cover, whether the post is armed or unarmed, and the PSIRA grade required. A single unarmed 12-hour post costs far less than a 24/7 armed multi-officer deployment. Warhawk prices every contract off a site walk-through and gives you a line-by-line breakdown — officer wages, statutory contributions, equipment and supervision — so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

How quickly can you deploy security guards to my site?

Most Eastern Cape sites are staffed within 48 to 72 hours of a signed proposal. Larger or multi-shift deployments may need slightly longer to recruit and induct the right officers, and we will tell you the honest timeline up front rather than promising a date we cannot hold.

What is the difference between armed and unarmed security guards?

Unarmed officers handle access control, reception, patrols, reporting and visible deterrence — the right fit for offices, retail floors and business parks. Armed officers hold a higher PSIRA grade and firearm competency, and are posted where there is a credible threat of violent robbery: cash-handling points, high-value stores and isolated industrial gates. Most sites use a mix.

Do you supply guards for tenders and require compliance documents?

Yes. Warhawk is PSIRA-registered (4788568) and SAPS-registered (26359), with CIPC, CSD, PSSPF, NBCPSS and WCA documentation available. We supply the full compliance pack with every proposal so your procurement or tender submission clears on the first pass.

How do you supervise guards and prove patrols happened?

Officers scan physical checkpoints on their patrol route, producing a timestamped log you receive with your reporting. A named site supervisor runs briefings and unannounced spot-checks, and shift check-ins are logged against a schedule so a missed check-in triggers a call-out — not a discovery weeks later.

Can I scale the number of guards up or down?

Yes. Officer counts, hours and post configurations flex with your operations — festive retail peaks, construction ramp-ups, seasonal agri-processing or a tender award. Changes are agreed in writing and priced on the same rate card, so scaling never means renegotiating your base contract.

What happens if a guard does not arrive for a shift?

Relief cover is built into the roster. The control room detects a missed check-in against the shift schedule and dispatches a relief officer, and your nominated contact is notified of the gap and the corrective action — we do not leave you to discover an empty post yourself.

Do you provide security for construction sites and warehouses?

Yes — those are two of our core sectors. Construction sites get gate control, contractor sign-in, material-yard protection and after-hours torch patrols against cable and plant theft. Warehouses and distribution centres get load-in/load-out verification, driver and vehicle checks, yard patrols and multi-shift cover.

What reporting do I receive as a client?

A daily occurrence book covering access movements, deliveries, contractor sign-ins and exceptions; incident reports written within the shift; patrol scan logs; and a monthly SLA report suitable for board or insurer review.
